Hot and sweet apple salsa combines apples with jalapeno chili peppers, lime juice, lime zest, and fresh cilantro. Salsa is perfect for use with grilled pork chops, or pork tenderloin medallions.
Ingredients -
2 Apples
2 Jalapeno Chili Pepper, washed and de-seeded
1/2 Red Onion, cut in wedges
¼ teaspoon zest of Fresh Lime
1 tablespoon Fresh Cilantro
1 teaspoon Fresh Lime Juice
Preparation:
1. Peel, core, and dice the apples.
2. Add jalapenos, red onion, lime zest, limejuice, and cilantro to food processor.
3. Process salsa until smooth. Add apples and process to desired consistency.

Choose a nice tart apple, preferably locally grown or organic. The sugar in the apples will come out when mixed with the lime juice.
