Hot Black Bean Salsa

Hearty black bean salsa prepared on stovetop from black beans, chopped white or yellow onion, chopped green bell pepper, chopped red bell pepper, diced jalapeno pepper, sea salt, and fresh ground black pepper. Vegetables are sautéed in extra-virgin olive oil to soften and combined with other ingredients. Seasoned to taste with sea salt and fresh ground black pepper. Served hot.

Ingredients -

2 cans Black Beans, drained and rinsed
1 White or Yellow Onion, chopped
1 Green Bell Pepper chopped
1 Red Bell Pepper chopped
1 or 2 Jalapeño Chile Peppers, cleaned and diced, remove seeds and membranes for less heat
2 tablespoons Extra-Virgin Olive Oil
1 tablespoon Tabasco Sauce
Sea Salt, to taste
Fresh Ground Black Pepper, to taste

 
Preparation:

1. In a medium saucepan, heat the oil over medium-high heat.

2. Add the onions, bell peppers and jalapenos and cook until softened.

3. Add the beans, Tabasco sauce and season, to taste with salt and pepper.

4. Heat until hot.

5. Serve with favorite chips.
